This is Ramona Hernandez. A hard working mother of 4, grandmother of 6, and great grandmother of 5. She loves going to the beach with her son and enjoys fun random conversations with her daughter. She has the heart and spirit of a Lioness! She is very dependable and has been the steeple of her entire family. Ramona is one of the most loving and caring human beings on earth. If someone is in need she will fill that need be it a hot meal, warm bed to sleep in or cloths on their bodies. She is a very generous person. She has opened her home to anyone that was in need of a place to stay. She has also cared for her siblings growing up all 8 of them and their children. Ramona has stood by her family and friends on their best and worst of days. She has lost so much in the last 15 years. Her mother, 4 of her 7 sisters, her grandson and her husband..
Two years ago she lost her husband of 37 years and has tried to live her life the best way she knows how since. In the last year She has relocated form their family home to a smaller more manageable place in the country.
However, this past August of 2023, she was diagnosed with Carcinosarcoma(A Uterin Cancer that is very rare, only 3% of women get this type of cancer). She was previously diagnosed with Diabetes, COPD and an Abdomninal Aorta Anurism. Since her Diagonis as of August she has been in and out of the hospital with multiple procedures such as a Stent placed in the beginning of November and a Complete Historecromy due to the canser. Some how after her historecony on November 28, 2023, she was having some slight recovery issues. This past Tuesday she was placed back in the hospital in critical condition due to a small tare in her intestines. She had waste spewing into her body and she went septic. The hospital had to do emergecy exploratory surgery as well as reconstructive surgery on Tuesday evening and is now in recovery. The doctors say she has a very very long road to recovery and will be places in Long term Physical Therapy.
The reason for creating this account is to help assist her with her medical bills and transportation to get to and from her appointments in Savanah, Ga. We live almost 2 hours from the hospital that is currently housing her. Just to put into prospective a little bit. If she was in the same city transportation would be less of an issue.
With the holiday practically here we are currently tight on funds due to our typical housing bills. We understand that money is tight everywhere, we just had no where else to ask for help. Even $1 would help if you can afford it.
We appreciate anything that may come from this and those that are willing to donate to our cause. Even if we don't get to our goal whatever is raised will be going to help Ramona recover.
