Everybody, I need your help. My of my best friends is fighting for her life and she needs your help. This immaculate women was one of my right hand man when Roe was diagnosed with cancer and walked me through all the medical tribulations. She took Roe to see the ocean for the first time ans then made her a fairy Princess and sailed her off into the sunrise. There isn't anything she wouldn't do to help someone in need, but now it's our turn to rally around and help her. She is fighting for her life not knowing what each second may bring her.
Now, Imagine being confined to a small hospital room with limited visitors and no end in sight. That has what happened to my sister/best friend Priscilla, aka Scilly, aka Turtle, aka Rex. Priscilla is an inspiration to many and if you have been blessed by having met her or knowing her as I do, I am most certain you would agree. She has such a loving, caring, calm demeanor. She touches the lives of everyone she encounters. She always says you should treat others with kindness even if they are being bitter towards you because you don’t know what battles they are facing. Scilly says her day has been successful only if she can brighten someone’s day. It is now time to for us to gather and help our sister out during this time of need. Priscilla was diagnosed with a rare disease a few years ago called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome(MCAS) which causes her to experience repeated episodes of the symptoms of anaphylaxis – allergic symptoms such as hives, swelling, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing. On June 29, she had a severe reaction which required 3 EpiPens to save her life. She was admitted to the ICU where she remains with no end in sight. She continues to have daily anaphylactic reactions. She can’t eat more than two bites of food before her body begins to react, because of this she is now extremely malnourished, and her body is not fighting and healing like it should. They can’t use the conventional means of nutrition that are typically used in these situations because she is having a reaction to anything being introduced to her body. At this point we do not have a prognosis, but we do know she is growing weaker instead of stronger each day.
As you know when one has a medical ailment such as this it destroys you financially. Scilly is not able to work and has not been at her job long enough to qualify for FMLA or short-term disability. Priscilla is stuck in the hospital, literally living in a bubble, can’t eat, and missing her friends and family since she is residing several states away. She has a strong faith, but she is only human therefore, she is scared and vulnerable. I would like to see if we could help ease some of her burden so she can have at minimum, a feeling of peace and relief in one area of her beautiful life. By doing so we would be doing something great and appreciated for a woman that has done so much for others in her lifetime. Please help in any way you can, Thank you!
