I was a little skeptical being a part of Miss RI 2021 due to the fact that I am far from "pageant perfect". Knowing this would be my first and only time to compete, something told me to join. Maybe it was that little "Jimminy Cricket" on the shoulder.
Miss RI empowers girls of all ages to promote their voice and what it means to be a leader. Anyone can be a leader but it takes courage to stand up alone and speak for what is just. For many years, I have been trying to represent what I stand for, and who I am. I have had papers sprawled on my desk trying to plan and market awareness. I believe the time has come to make my plan a reality.
