It has just become final that all 5 of our nieces and nephew will be permanently with us and we will be adopting them very soon!
It has be n a very long process for these kiddos. It was supposed to be temporary and 2 years later they finally got closure. Now to start fresh!
The kids are a 15 year old girl, 13 year old girl, 5 year old boy, 4 year old girl and a 1.5 year old girl. We also have our 17 year old son.
The older girls have had a very hard time with all of this uncertainty, understandably. We are eager to continue to provide for them, support them and love them. We are looking forward to their healing and their lives adjusting to their new permanency with us.
We are needing a bigger house so everyone can have their own space. This was originally supposed to be temporary for my nieces and nephew. We are happy that we are able to provide a loving home for them and for all of the siblings to remain together. However, we are a household of 8 and need more room. Currently our living room has been converted into bedrooms. It wasn't very big to begin with, so it is not ideal.
We are trying to raise funds for a down payment on a home so we can start our new beginning. We aren't looking for anything fancy. Just a home with enough bedrooms, a yard and maybe a second bathroom (which is very needed right now lol)!
We have used all of our savings providing for these children over the last 24 months. It has been a very long process but we are excited to have closure for the kiddos and to move forward!
Even if you can donate just $1 it will make a difference. If enough people can help we would be able to get a new house with enough space for these children! They sure deserve it!
