Hello!
Thank you to my family and friends for what you have donated in different ways. We are making soil, planting food in the Community Gardens, and plant donations are coming in. The money so far will really help with some tools needed and possible a compost turner for food waste. An important ingredient on our soil making process.
Last Sunday, October 17th, I turned 69. As I enter my 70th year, I would like nothing more than to get the RESET Permaculture Food Forest going. We have already started by making compost and soil this summer have planted a number of beds with organic greens and veggies to benefit local food pantries.
We are planning, with our FGCU Food Forest and Permaculture partners, to install a concentrated 1/2 acre food forest on the 12.5 acres campus of the UUCFM- Bill Brewar Family Gardens.
My dream is to raise the seed money through community support and crowd funding so that we can begin to move earth, make more soil, plant trees, and dig a new well for enough water to sustain all during the dry seasons. $1,500.00 would get us off to a good start. Fruit trees are already being donated. So for my birthday I am asking you, my friends and relations, to be generous and help us create a permaculture design plan on this beautiful land as we partner with local food pantries, community gardens and urban food forests.
There is a donation button on our Web page at www.swflreset.org/donate
We would all would so appreciate your help. Your donations to our non-profit, the SWFL RESET Center, would go into our Permaculture/Food Forest Fund and would be used to help get this vision off the ground.
