This fundraiser has been created to support my uncle, cousins, and my grandmother as we mourn the loss of my aunt, Cathy Burnside. Loving wife of Lance Burnside.
Cathy’s passing was sudden and deeply shocking for our family. She passed suddenly from a misfolded protein prion that infected her brain. This disease is very rare and called Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD). She started having noticeable brain issues on the 16th of December. She declined very very quickly. She went to the Lord on the 15th of January.
She was a caregiver to all that knew her. She loved all children more than anything.
She was also a caregiver to her mother with dementia and son who has a rare cancer.
During this difficult time, we are coming together to help ease some of the immediate burdens that her family is facing.
Funds raised will go toward memorial services, meals, and day-to-day support as the family navigates the weeks ahead. Any contribution, share, or kind thought is deeply appreciated.
