Jimena's Washington D.C. trip
Thank you to all of you who donated to this trip. She is having a great time and learning a lot. I've added a few pictures of her trip so far. She is still there and not scheduled to come back till Saturday. If you didn't get to donate and would like to she can use it on a souvenir.

Jimena participated in an essay contest in which students wrote what it meant to them to be selected to lay the honor wreath at the WWII Memorial at the Arizona pillar. Out of 30 students who participated in the contest only two students would be selected for the prestigious wreath laying, Jimena was one of the two students selected.

Jimena also visited the Holocaust Museum. Due to the nature of the exhibit and out of respect pictures were discouraged. The tour of the museum was very significant to her that she decided on her own merit to purchase her first copy of The Diary of Anne Frank.

In front of the White House.

From the bottom of our hearts thanks so much for helping her get to D.C.
