In February, our family’s world was turned upside down when my grandma, Mary, was diagnosed with breast cancer. If you know her, you know she’s not one to slow down. In March, she underwent a double mastectomy, and in less than two weeks, she starts her first round of chemotherapy.
At 63, Mary is still working a full-time schedule, and my grandpa is doing the same despite navigating his own health challenges. They are two of the most hardworking people I’ve ever known, but between the surgeries, the endless appointments, and the recovery time ahead, the weight of it all is starting to add up.
Mary is the person I turn to for everything. She’s been my biggest support through every part of my life, and now I want to show up for her in that same way. Our family is rallying around her, but we want to do more than just be there emotionally. We want to help lift the financial burden that comes with missing work and managing medical bills so they can both focus on what actually matters, her health and her recovery.
If you’re able to help out, it would mean the world to us. If you can’t donate, honestly, just sharing this link or keeping our family in your thoughts is more than enough. Thank you for being in our corner.
