Help Us Rebuild After Devastating Storm

I am creating this fundraiser for me and my brotherafter a derecho hit Gary, Indiana turned our lives upside down. Our basement flooded, and we lost many of the things we depended on every day. Since August 11, we have been without power, and I have exhausted every resource and money I had trying to get us through this. I do not have a car, and I do not have a support system to lean on right now. So it is hard for us to get to anywhere where resources have been provided. And I couldn’t work during this time either.On top of everything else, my brother is a type 1 diabetic, and because we have had no refrigeration, we need something to refrigerate his medicine. It is the most important medicine that should never have to go to waste.

Right now, we are asking for help so we can begin to recover from this disaster and meet our most urgent needs. Donations will help us replace basic items we lost, including clothes and beds, and help cover food and medical needs while we try to get back on our feet. Hopefully it would be easier for us to get things delivered or get a Lyft  to help aid us.This has been an overwhelming and painful time for us, and any support would truly make a difference.
