Hello 👋🏾 I work at Spec’s. It’s a liquor store. I’ve enjoyed my job for almost 2 years. I’ve received 2 raises within that time and working on a 3rd. I’m a grandmother and one of them lives with me. The sweetest 10 year old you’ll ever meet. Just me and him against the world🥰 I’ve been a few places and seen a few things in my lifetime. When people say “You can’t afford to get sick”, it’s a true statement. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. We caught early and have been diligently fighting it. But I’ve had to take off for 1, and sometimes 2, days out the week for my treatment. So I’ve lost all the overtime I’d accumulated. I’ve lived from paycheck to paycheck, so each day I miss work is a hit on my bills. I’ve made payment arrangements so I’ve stayed above water. But I’m about to have a double mastectomy and the recovery time is at least 2 weeks. It could be more depending on how the surgery goes. I’m asking for help to pay for the things (rent, car note, phone bill, electricity) that those 2 weeks will cover. Anything helps and is greatly needed and appreciated.
