Dear friends and compassionate hearts,
My name is Albert, and I am reaching out to you during one of the most challenging times my family has ever faced. My wife, Jackie, and our newborn son, Luca, recently survived a life-threatening ordeal during his birth on August 28. What was meant to be a day of joy quickly became a fight for their lives. Our precious Luca developed a pneumothorax soon after birth, causing his tiny lungs to struggle and his vitals to plummet. The doctors worked tirelessly to stabilize him, and it was only after three heartbreaking days in the NICU that we could finally hold him. Jackie, too, faced grave danger. As complications arose after her emergency C-section, I watched helplessly as she began to lose consciousness. Miraculously, through prayers and the expertise of the medical team, Jackie was saved, although at the cost of losing a fallopian tube and ovary. After several exhausting days in the hospital, both Jackie and Luca are home now, but their recovery is far from over. Luca, born three weeks early, is a fighter but considered a preemie. Jackie endured a difficult journey, including a blood transfusion, and will need time to heal. In light of all this, I have taken a month off work to care for Jackie, Luca, and our three other children. However, this has left us struggling to cover our rent and utility expenses for September. We humbly request your support to raise approximately $3,000 to help us through this difficult month. Your contribution, no matter the size, will deeply impact our family's ability to focus on what truly matters: healing and moving forward. We are immensely grateful for your generosity and kindness during this time of need. Please consider donating to help our family regain stability and hope. Your support is a blessing, and we cannot thank you enough. God bless you.
With gratitude,
The Flores Family
