As I really dislike doing this at the moment, I opened up a Central Hudson account over a year ago with a credit of $698 on it and one bill only came out for it. For months and months, I was not receiving any bills and I would fight with them on and off, asking them where my bills are and with no wiggle room with them, they simply told me oh your bills must be in a bin with no address somewhere in the United States postal system they made no effort to get me my bills I had an online account and for some odd reason nothing was getting billed to me. Come November 2024 I receive a bill for over $2000 when I called them. Their customer service rep was nothing but nasty and stated how the original account I opened was shut down on a new one opened. I did not authorize this. I made a report with them for fraud. They claim to have mailed me sheets that I did not get and now they’re back to threatening to shut me off and I have no choice but to pay this fraudulent utility account that was opened in my name with my information and Social Security number. I don’t put my Social Security number out there, and apparently you don’t need a Social Security number to open up Central Hudson account so I would definitely like to know and get this investigated. I am a very proud person and I normally do not like asking for help like this, but I do not need risking my pipes freezing or my animals freezing because of Central Hudson’s neglect to answer a call or an email no matter how many times I harass them for answers Let alone my body does not do well with the cold weather for I have something called chronic pain syndrome and full body arthritis.
