My friends Bruce & Anna Yem were the unfortunate victims of a random shooting on 4/12 and have small special needs children! One with recent heart surgey and one with non verbal autism. And 2 other children as well. The children are all too afraid to even sleep in their rooms, awakeed by screaming and gunshots and are extremely destrought, This happened the night prior to their Autistic sons birthday. They were up late preparing for his big day and thankfully werent hit by the gunfire.
Bruce and Anna did not know the shooter and have no issues with anyone. They were even looked at like thye were at fault because Bruce has a CCW to be able to lawfully protect his family. After a while the bias was dropped and the window is being replaced. This however does not make his family feel safe. I am fundraising to assist them in being able to move to a different location so that the children can recover.
This family works hard for their children and the medical needs they require. If you can donate even a $1-15.00 Donation we can hopefully relocate then ASAP. They are a humble and sweet family and don't bother anyone.
