I am reaching out because my family is in an urgent, dangerous housing emergency and we desperately need help to get to a safe place.
The home we are currently living in is rapidly deteriorating. The ceiling is on the verge of collapsing, and severe black mold has taken over. This toxic environment is actively harming my children’s health. My oldest son has epilepsy, and the exposure to the mold has triggered a dangerous spike in his seizures, causing him to suffer them almost daily.
As a parent, watching my child suffer in a home that is supposed to be our safe haven is heartbreaking and terrifying. We need to get out immediately.
I am trying to raise funds to cover emergency temporary housing (like an extended-stay hotel or short-term rental) so we can get out of this toxic environment right now, while I work on securing a safe, permanent new home for us.
