Ramadan begins around February 17. For millions of people around the world, it is a sacred month of fasting from dawn to sunset, prayer, reflection, and generosity.

It’s also a time when many give zakat and sadaqah — acts of charity meant to support families who are struggling and to make sure no one goes without food or care.

This year, I’m asking you to keep Ahmed and his family in your prayers and your giving.

Ahmed is a husband, a father to two young boys, and the provider for 14 extended family members. Before the war, he was a farmer who grew food for his community with pride. Now, he spends every day doing whatever he can to keep his family safe and fed.

This is Ahmed — a father, a former farmer, a man whose hands once raised food from the earth and now work tirelessly just to keep his two babies safe.

But today, Ahmed needs help to survive.

🤍 New Life, Urgent Need 🤍

On December 2, Ahmed Ibrahim and his wife welcomed their second son, Mohammed. Alhamdulillah, mother and baby are healthy.

But joy does not erase need. Ahmed’s wife does not have the nutrition needed to produce enough milk to nurse her newborn. Their family also needs warm winter clothes and blankets as the cold sets in.

The Prophet said:

“He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbor goes hungry.”

Today, Ahmed’s family is our neighbor and they need us more than ever.
