As many of you already know, Eric was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2021. At the time, our family was provided with a life expectancy of 22 months.
True to form, our friend, defiant and driven, rocketed past that expectation. Over the last four years, Eric, Shannon, and Harper have demonstrated remarkable resiliency, fighting hard and making memories,
while remaining a shining example of what it means to show strength through family.
Now the Grahams are preparing for the next stage of their journey. We expect to have Eric with us for the next six to twenty-four months. Shannon will be taking a leave of absence from work so she can help to provide Eric with the care that he deserves.
Today we are humbly asking for your financial assistance as the Grahams turn the page and begin their next chapter.
In the interest of transparency, Eric's goals primarily focus on comfort and quality of life. Most contributions will assist in providing care, help to cover everday expenses, and will go towards building upon the spectacular foundation that Shannon and Eric have built for Harper.
Eric's enthusiasm for teaching is palpable, unrivaled, and immeasurable. In his decades-long tenure as an educator in Southern California, his impact has been felt by thousands.
For those who entered his classroom with an interest in the arts, he's cultivated that fondness to help young people reach levels they may not have otherwise found. For those who previously showed little interest, Eric helped introduce them to what, in many cases, became a passion that endures today. Those of you who have been a part of his programs have seen his passion and dedication to music. Those of us who have been music or theater students understand what a difference it makes in your life even beyond the classroom.
That alone is a life's work. Still, he has far exceeded that level of success as a doting husband, and a devoted father. Harper is a spectacular young lady who deserves our attention.
Eric and Shannon speak often of the special relationships they have forged with their students and an interconnectivity that is unique to a shared love of the arts. The Grahams have given so much of their time and energy, pouring their passion for the arts into the lives of others.
Now we ask that we come together to support them in their time of need. Any and all contributions and efforts to share this page are greatly appreciated.
