On April 27, 2026, our world changed forever with the early arrival of baby Teddy Alexander Barnes. Born at just 32 weeks, Teddy's first days were spent in the NICU of a nearby hospital before he needed a critical transfer to the St. Louis Children's NICU. It was a whirlwind that left his parents Alex and Devin, feeling both terrified and hopeful. Baby Teddy is a fighter and he shows us what true courage looks like, and we hold tight to every little victory he wins along the way.
Our family and friends have been a wellspring of support, wrapping us in love and helping us face the challenges ahead. Our community is coming together to ease the burden and show love and support and it is greatly appreciated!!!
Baby Teddy got to come home on Father's Day after 55 days in the NICU!! This precious baby was home for 11 days before becoming ill, requiring intubation and his third air flight, returning to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Baby Teddy is off respiratory support as of July 6, 2026 and showing us every day he is a true fighter and is extremely blessed!
