Juan Pila has always been the kind of man who would give the last bite of food on his plate to someone hungrier than him. But today, he finds himself with nothing left to give — not even for himself.
Living in a small, crumbling room with a leaky roof, Juan works odd jobs when he can find them, but lately, opportunities have been scarce. Some nights, he goes to sleep hungry, telling himself he’ll eat tomorrow. That “tomorrow” doesn’t always come.
He dreams of a day when he won’t have to choose between paying for a warm meal or buying medicine, when he can stand on his own feet without fear of falling again. But right now, he needs help.
