Not sure if you have all heard or not, but my wife's hockey gear was stolen last night. She has been extremely hurt and saddened by this. It's her only hobby and the one thing that she physically loves to do. Her helmet was from her first all womens travel team, Cal Selects from 2000. She also had her favorite jersey in there from when she was 12. The Rattlers jersey was extremely special to her because she was the only girl on the all boys roller hockey travel team. She searched the alleys, dumpsters, and streets as much as she could last night and all morning, but found nothing. All she wants to replace are her skates and a new helmet. She can find loaner gear or used gear for the remainder of her Sunday league.
I know that all the people that love her and care about her can make this happen. She is well loved amongst her group of friends and family. Anything helps, even if everyone donated $5 that would mean the world to us.
If we weren't expecting another baby girl in 6 weeks this would be something we could figure out on our own. Unfortunately, with Jess being the only one working right now we are unable to get her all new gear.
Thanks for listening and being there for her during this hard time. If you know her, I'm sure you already know she's extremely devastated.
