Hello, we really need help. The father of my children, my husband was arrested Christmas night. He was bringing Christmas gifts over for our children's when an altercation happened with my now former roommate. He has NEVER been in trouble before or arrested. His bail was set at 576k which we of course cannot afford. Even the bailbonds person said in his 35 years in business for a first time arrest for this the bail is usually 20-25k. His public defender will not communicate and has only spoken to him one time since his arrest on 12/25. He had a good job with good benefits they tried to hold it for as long as they could but had to officially terminate him. We were able to get the bond lowered but only to 275k. He is not doing well in jail he doesn’t fit in there he is scared, he misses his boys he has never been away from them for more than a weekend at most. The roommate said they didn’t want to press charges but the state of Florida doesn’t care. I am so desperate, our boys are hurting. Our now three year old is not sleeping through the night anymore he wakes up crying for his daddy. Constantly asking for him. He is a good man, a good dad. Always puts his kids first. We need help.
