Several months ago, my wife and I moved to a little town outside Grants Pass Or. We moved to have a fresh start. We both have been actively seeking work and last week we both landed new jobs. Her with a front desk possition and myself with a new car dealership in Medford Or.
We were finally ready to start a path in our life's and had a Subaru on its last legs with almost 300k miles. The day she started her new job she left happy and full of enthusiasm. She didn't make it to work instead the Subaru decided it was done. She was frantic and stressed on her first impression to a new job and a man had stopped to offer her help. When they couldn't get the car back on the road he offered to drive her to work. He seemed nice and of good nature so she excepted his offer. Upon the drive to her work he proceeded to pull bags of drugs out of his jockey box along with the flaunting of several hundred dollars that she turned down and tried to ignore. When his coaxing didn't work 2 miles before her work place he pulled over and began to sexually assault her. She was dropped off at work where she was is a frantic mind set and this put her into a tachycardia attack with her existing heart problems where I had called 911 to get her medical help. She underwent painful events by Dr's drilling into her boan marrow to apply meds she needed to get her heart back down to a safe level. Sheriffs dept. has been working on finding the suspect and bringing what he has done to her to justice.
Since this has happened we both have not been able to start the jobs we where hired for and now in a position worse then before. .
We live an hour from town where having a vehicle is a must. Our food is gone, toiletries are gone and basic needs like getting our laundry done is almost impossible .
I'm not asking for more then we need just our communities help in funding our ability to get a car where we can try again to sustain our life's without the drama and constant daily struggle to just survive.
I humbly ask for help to give 2 people a chance at moving forward and having the ability to meet basic needs like getting to appointments and getting groceries.
God bless and may the ones that help know you are great fully appreciated and valued.
Thank you!
