Our sweet 6-year-old son is the most kind, loving, and gentle soul. He brings so much light into our lives, even while facing more challenges than most children his age ever should.
He lives with epilepsy and several complex medical conditions, and recently, after being in and out of the hospital, we received devastating news—he is at an extremely high risk for SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).
We are a single-parent household, and it is just a mother and daughter caring for him—doing everything we can to keep him safe, loved, and comforted every single day.
Since that moment, everything has changed for our family. Nights are no longer a time of rest. We stay up throughout the night, constantly checking his breathing, watching closely for seizures, and doing everything we can to protect him. The fear is overwhelming, and the exhaustion has become part of our daily lives—but he is worth every second.
There is a device called the Sami sleep monitor, designed specifically for children like our son who are at risk for SUDEP. It can detect seizure activity during sleep and alert us immediately, giving us the chance to respond quickly. This device would truly be life-changing for our family—helping protect our son while also giving us a small sense of peace.
We are reaching out with humble and hopeful hearts, asking for support during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter the size, or even simply sharing our story, would mean more to us than words can express.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our son. Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support. We are deeply grateful.
