Sweet Pixie is a gentle soul and cares deeply for her humans. She was sold by a friend to whom she thought was a trusting family. After a few months of Pixie living in her new home, it was apparent she was being neglected. The owners were offered help and education to give Pixie the proper needs. They still refused to do right by her and their other two horses. Animal control was called, with no known outcomes. Months went by and several of us drove by the property on daily outings and saw their terrible condition. My friend offered to purchase Pixie back and they refused. It's been well over 6-8 months of this poor girl being starved. The man who owned her finally put up an ad to sell. I chose to respond and act like I didn't know pixie or her previous owner, which resulted in me being able to purchase her. There's no doubt Pixie is going to need some medical care and special feeding requirements to get her back to health. I'm asking anyone willing to contribute to her restoration, to please do so and know it's very much appreciated. The vet will be out on the 11th to exam her, do her teeth, get her up to date on vaccines and decide what our plan of action is. Let's rally together and get this sweet girl what she deserves 🥰
