On March 9th, 2023, we suffered a tremendous and shocking loss as Jolie Garmon was taken from her loved ones suddenly and tragically.
Jolie graduated from Indian Land High School in 2022 and was a brilliant young bright light full of love and life. She attended York Tech where she was studying science and was to graduate early; she then had plans to finish her education with a possible transfer to College of Charleston. Her future was just so bright and everyone who came in contact with her, loved her. She adored her family and spoke highly of her mother and little brother often—there was so much love in their home! She loved traveling with her friends and going to concerts; they actually had plans to do both in the near future.
Jolie was a friend to everyone and also a force to be reckoned with—standing up for injustices and standing firm in her values. She was kind and accepting of every single person. She was a beautiful and loving daughter who was incredibly proud of her mother—her ultimate best friend. She was the greatest big sister and her little brother looked up to her with the utmost admiration. She was a dear loyal friend to many but especially those in her close circle. Jolie loved fiercely. Her work ethic was unmatched and you never heard her complain.
Jolie, you will be dearly missed, our hearts are hurting—the world was a much better place with you in it. Your story will live on through each one of us who had the privilege and honor of knowing you.
We are asking you to open your hearts to help her family as they navigate through the emotions and a life without her in it. Any amount is appreciated and all donations will go directly to Jolie’s mother Natalie and her little brother. Please respect their privacy during this heartbreaking time.
