Hi all, my name is Elle. Due to a lengthy period of mostly illness related unemployment and underemployment I have fallen behind on my utilities. My electricity and gas were recently disconnected, which has created a serious situation: I am a diabetic, and now I have no way to refrigerate the insulin I use daily and weekly.
While I am just started back working it will be approximately 2 more weeks before I get a paycheck. I am seeking $1500 to:
Pay off utility arrears to restore the lights. (Aprx $1300 with service restoration fees)
Anything extra will be used to replace any and all spoiled/wasted food/medicine during this timeframe. And cover bus fare to get to and from work for the next 2 weeks.
Any contribution, no matter how small, helps me get my health and my life back on track.
