Help Me Rebuild After Ovarian Cancer ❤️🙏
My name is Lorena, and I never imagined that one day I would have to ask others for help with something so deeply personal.
My journey with ovarian cancer has been one of the hardest battles of my life. Cancer changed my body, my heart, and the way I see myself. There were moments of fear and uncertainty when I didn’t know what the future would look like. I had to find strength on days when I didn’t feel strong at all.
I am incredibly grateful to have made it through those difficult days. But even after surviving cancer, the journey doesn’t simply end when treatment ends. There are still physical and emotional wounds that take time to heal.
Now I am facing another important part of my recovery: reconstructive surgery.
The cost of my surgery is $6,000, and I don’t have the financial ability to pay for it myself. I have tried to find assistance, but so far I have not been able to find enough help to make this surgery possible.
This reconstruction means so much more to me than changing the way I look.
It is about looking at myself in the mirror and feeling like Lorena again, instead of constantly seeing reminders of what cancer put me through. It is about rebuilding a part of myself that was affected by this journey and finally being able to move forward with more confidence, peace, and hope.
There are things people cannot always see when someone survives cancer. The scars may be visible, but the emotional pain can be much deeper. Sometimes surviving means learning how to accept a body that has changed and finding the courage to love yourself again.
I am asking for your help because I want the chance to take this next step.
