On November 15th, Melissa "Missy" Twist passed away unexpectedly at her home in Mechanic Falls, Maine. This Fundraiser has been set up to fulfill the dreams that she held for her daughter Ella to pursue a career in NASCAR.
Sadly, Ella came home from school to discover that her mother Missy passed away unexpectedly from long-term health complications. On the night before her passing, the Twist family had been planning out Ella’s 2024 racing schedule and Missy expressed that she really would love to see Ella traveling to more ARCA races.
To grow past the grief, honor her mother and learn a vocation, Ella hopes to apprentice at as many races as possible this season. Mike is now a widowed dad paying for funeral and adoption expenses. The family is not going to starve or lose their home, but unfortunately the racing travel budget has taken a hit.
Please consider helping Ella’s “scholarship” fund to help her meet the goal of more races. She has her foot in the door for so many learning opportunities in the sport and with hard work and dedication, she is capable of someday spending her weekends working on top of a pit box in professional racing.

There will be a celebration of Missy’s life on Saturday, December 2nd from 1-3pm at the Weston-Chandler Funeral Home, 26 West Dwinal Street in Mechanic Falls, Maine.
