Our family’s world was turned upside down when my dad, Phillip, was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident.
During the accident he suffered extensive and serious injuries, including 17 broken ribs, several spinal fractures, a broken fibula, and a severe wound to his lower leg.
We are incredibly thankful that he is still here with us, but he has a very long road ahead.
His doctors have told us that it will likely be months before he is able to return to anything close to his normal life. His recovery will involve continued medical care, follow-up appointments, treatment for his injuries, and time for his body to heal from the tremendous trauma it has endured.
As our family tries to process everything that has happened, we are also facing the financial reality of an accident this severe. The medical bills associated with his emergency care, hospital stay, procedures, medications, follow-up care, and recovery are already overwhelming—and we know there will be many more expenses in the months ahead.
