I have had Zeus since he was a pup. He has been there for me through everything and is the closest thing to family I have had in Colorado. He recently came down with an unknown illness that is attacking his body's red blood cells, and the vet is trying everything they can but he hasn't been responding to treatments well. They believe that he might have cancer but haven't been able to find it. I have had a few people reach out and tell me I should start a go fund me. Honestly I'm not one for handouts but it seems the only thing the vet can tell me for certain is how much it's going to cost. So far that cost has been the majority of my savings. I would give almost anything to save him so I didn't bat an eye. I don't expect much from this, but if it doesn't help with his bills maybe I'll be able to buy him one last hamburger from Freddy's.

Zeus passed away last night. He died peacefully and comfortably laying in my arms. He got all the love I had left in me.

Zeus has finally been given a diagnosis. Unfortunately it's cancer and a very aggressive cancer at that. Thank you to everyone who has donated, but I don't know if we will have enough to do what's needed to save him. His surgery is high risk and he doesn't have enough red blood cells currently to survive having his spleen removed. I don't know what to do at this point.
