Dylan and Summer have spent the past seven years fighting for their dream of becoming parents. After struggling with infertility, they finally saw a glimmer of hope through their first round of IVF in 2024. Their joy quickly turned to fear when, at just 22 weeks pregnant, Summer was rushed to labor and delivery due to dangerously high blood pressure. She was life-flighted to the Houston Medical Center, where doctors fought to keep her pregnant for as long as possible. Two short weeks later things took a turn when the Doctor said it was time.
At just 24 weeks, their miracle baby, Caroline, made her entrance into the world—far too soon, but fiercely strong at 1 pound 5 ounces. Being born so prematurely comes with many challenges. In her short life, Caroline has already endured three surgeries, including neuro surgery, daily X-rays, multiple MRIs, 2 hospitals and countless medical interventions. Now, nearly four months old, she remains in the NICU, facing a long road ahead with more procedures and hurdles to overcome.
Dylan and Summer live in Montgomery, TX, but to be closer to Caroline, they will be relocating to the Houston Medical Center for the next several months. As hardworking individuals who have always provided for themselves, this unexpected journey has placed an immense financial and emotional strain on them.
We are asking for your support—whether through donations, prayers, or sharing their story—to help ease the burden of medical and living expenses as they dedicate every moment to their sweet Caroline’s fight. No contribution is too small, and every bit of love and encouragement means the world to them.
Thank you for being part of Sweet Caroline’s journey. She is proof that miracles exist, and with your help, she will continue to grow stronger every day.
