As some already know, Mike Nelson, my father and Milwaukee classic, recently experienced a serious health event that has left him unable to fully care for himself for the time being. Together we have made the difficult decision to relocate him to an assisted senior community where he can still be a freaky hippy while having his medications managed and his safety ensured.
It goes without saying that assisted living is extremely expensive, not to mention the addition of moving costs and his mounting medical bills. Even with his pension and savings, there is still not enough to cover it all. We are asking for any donation people can give, small or big, to help provide a small cushion while we navigate this new and stressful territory.
