My name is Karen and these are my two best friends in the entire world. We have been friends for over 30 years and have been through thick and thin together. There is nothing that these people would not do and haven't done to help me and others their whole lives. They are amazing and I LOVE them so much. They have agreed to let me do a fundraiser for them (FINALLY) Over the summer, 2024, DJ was diagnosed with stage 1 bladder cancer. He had the surgery to have it removed but was out of work for four months. He owns his own business and that was very tough on them to not have that second income. They had just bought a house and are still struggling. Last yr Carol was out of work for 7 months due to a broken shoulder. And now, This month, unfortunately, they found out that he has had a reoccurrence of the bladder cancer He just had his 2nd surgery and starting in January he will have to go once a week for six weeks for treatment and again, will not be able to work much. The treatment is an immune therapy targeted for his type of cancer. Side effects can be mild to severe Flu like symptoms. They are too proud to ask for help but that isn’t stopping me. 😊 Try as they have, and refusing to ask for help, They have become very behind with bills. PLEASE CONSIDER Donating.
