On Jan 6th, 2021, I lost the love of my life, the mother to our 3 beautiful children and business partner, Shawna to a heart attack.
Our story started back in 1998, I knew that I had met the girl that I was going to marry... in 2000 we took the leap and the rest was history.
In 2007, we started our own business together growing outdoor plants. We found out real quick that plants do not sell in winter time. I asked her one day what we was going to do and she casually said, "I'm gong to start making fresh cut flower bouquet's". I mentioned to her that she wasn't a trained florist and she promptly just said "so?".
She had such a creative and artistic mind, from day one, she created the most beautiful flower arrangements with absolutely no training.
In 2008 we had our first baby boy Elijah which was the light of her life. We were then blessed with a baby girl Ella Grace in 2010 and another perfect baby boy Levi in 2011.
By 2015, brides from all over NC and SC had to have Shawna to do their wedding flowers.. she has been featured in magazines and several awards. She loved doing weddings so much, we added event rentals so our brides would have a one stop shop for flowers and rental equipment.
Unfortunately, 2020 hit us like a brick wall along with the entire world... starting March 27th, event after event was canceled or postponed. We struggled thru, but financially we was wasn't doing very well by the time it was over. We was holding on hoping that Covid would finally go away and events could start happening again.
Over the past few years, Shawna's health had been deteriorating. She had anemia, high blood pressure, celiac disease, an
d other digestive problems. She's had multiple hospital stays and multiple doctor visits, etc. This is something that we had been trying to get paid off, but the medical bills are quite large.
I am asking for help with the medical bills and also the funeral expenses so I can keep providing for my 3 young children and not have their world turned upside-down more than it already is.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for anything at all you can help with.
Scott
If you could please share, I would greatly appreciate it.
