Apollo is a 1 year old, sweet, loving and playful mixed bred dog. We had rescued him from a non secure environment when he was 3 months old and his previous owners had to told us that he “got too close to a female dog and one of the other male dog’s that lived on that property, didn’t like it. So he had viciously attacked him. Apollo had a giant scar that was oozing with puss and blood when we had gotten him. Now, a few months later, we thought the scar would heal better than it did. It left permanent damage to his scar tissue and his jaw is unable to open. He uses the side of his mouth to pick up his food. He loves toys but he can’t play too well, he has a lot of trouble picking up toys, playing tug of war or anything that a normal puppy should be able to do.
He is one of the sweetest puppies that I’ve ever met, loves giving kisses, getting treats and playing with his brother!
We’re really trying to get this surgery for him soon but the surgery is all-together around $5,000 dollars and we only had enough for $3,000. So we wanted to start this to try and get the surgery done sooner, so Apollo can start living life with a fully-functioning healthy jaw!
