Project Runaway is an non profit that has just started and we are going to help homeless teens and teenage parents and their children. I have looked at an house at 1616 north Rural for our first location and it is an $200,000. I was a teen parent myself and I also use to runaway from home. I am doing this with my children who are all grown now and productive young men. I have all my paper work through the state and federal. I am working with Legal Zoom and have an register agent also. This type of work is needed in our state. Let’s give our youth some hope. Let’s guide them by showing them how they can make better choices. Outside of providing a place for them to live, we will also be providing childcare for them so they can go to school and work. We will be helping them get all medical needs done, drivers license, clothes, food, basic needs for them and their children. We will also encourage and help with education after high school. We will also have groups to help overcome childhood trauma. Change your mindset change your life is what I say. We will give them as much reassurance and love to help them open up.The working children will have an checking and savings account that we will help them save a portion of they check for when they are ready to move. When they are ready to live on their own we will pay six months of rent for them and also help furnish their new home. We will also monitor them for the next two years after they move and help them over come any and all obstacles they may encounter. Our doors will always be open for them even after the two years.
