Three people were injured following a Multiple-car crash Friday night on U.S. Highway 1 in Lee County.
Though Authorities did not say what caused the crash but said a man and a 12-year-old boy were ejected from the vehicle following the crash at about 7:45 p.m. Both were flown to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill for treatment of their injuries, but their conditions were unknown. Authorities said a teenage girl was thrown from the back of the car to the front seat as a result of the crash. She was taken by ambulance to Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Northbound lanes of U.S. 1 were closed for several hours Friday night as authorities investigated the crash.
