In 2017 I had a slip and fall accident at work In which I ended up breaking my ankle and fractured my tibia. I had an external fixator placed and two weeks later had another surgery for a plate and screws to be placed. Since then I have another surgery, several physical therapy appointments, doctors appointments, steroid treatments and a host of other treatments. Nothing has helped with the pain and after an MRI it showed that I had 90% cartilage loss in my ankle which is a factor in the constant pain. My new orthopedic doctor said my only good option is to have ankle fusion which is where I’m at now. With this 4th surgery I could be out of work for about 3 months and I have no short term disability coverage which is why I’m in need of financial support. This is 2weeks post op and when my stitches were removed. On 12/4/23 it will be 6 weeks since my surgery and then hopefully on to physical therapy 😊
