Hi, my name is Cal Anderson. I am 12 years old and in 7th grade. My mom says my first word was "wheel!", not momma or dada. That's a picture of me racing my champ kart in 2022.
The only thing I want to do is be a race car driver. Racing and race craft is all I think about. I just won the 7th grade science fair proving racing is a sport to kids at school who tease me saying racing isn't a sport. Yes, I live in the northeast where racing isn't so popular. I showed them and I will show the world that I am a race car driver!
When I was 7 I discovered racing and knew I had found what I was made to do. I got my first go-kart when I turned 10. The next year I came in 3rd in the Northeast regional champ kart series (NCKS) racing against the best kids in the northeast. I have the talent to back up my dream, but I need help.
I recently turned 12 and while I love racing the champ karts, I need the next challenge to continue to grow my skills. For me that's going to be a Legend car. Yes, I can race a car at 12 years old in the Young Lions division. I make good decisions on the track so I'm ready for the next challenge.
Have you ever seen a Legend car? Seriously, they're so cool! You should Google US Legend Car Racing, but here is a picture of one.
They're also expensive and my parents can't afford to buy one let alone maintain it through a season of races. They want to help me get to the next level so we have set up this SpotFund page asking for help to buy my first Legend car.
I really need to start racing the Legend car this 2023 season. I got a late start in this sport compared to other kids who start at age 4! But I've got the smarts and the hard work ethic and I am already catching up.
