This is Ted

He is always talking and loves watching scary movies.  He loves spending time with my two kids which are 12 and 3 and my 8 year old when she's here.  He's shy until he gets to know you.  Recently he ended up going to the ER for chest pains in which after several catscans later was told it was caused from Pancreatitis. As he has now been in the hospital for 4 days symptoms have drastically gotten worse.  He can't talk besides saying a word here or there and he doesn't know who anyone is including my mom whom is his wife.  He can't feed himself nor get up and walk. He just blankly stares when being talked to. As my kids try video chatting with him, his eyes water up but he can't react. My mom works 6 days a week 12-15 hours a day to try and make money to pay the bills as well as trying to be there with him as much as possible.  The drs can't tell us how long he's going to be in the hospital but as of now it's almost as if he's partially brain dead. The few bites of food he has eaten in 4 days had to be fed to him.  He's restless and has snatched all the ivs out because he has no idea what's going on at all period.  They've had to run a pik line because they can't get an iv for all his veins blowing when they try.
The stress of not knowing what will happen next as well as trying to cope day to day and make ends meet are a lot for my mother.
He has insurance but it only covers a small portion. So with that on top of days to come in the hospital and symptoms going downhill by the day it could be a long way to recovery.

I'm reaching out in hope to be able to provide my mother and her husband with some kind of relief with medical bills as well as help my mother to be able to survive being the only one bringing in income and paying the bills to keep a roof over her head .

whether it be $1 or $100 anything at all helps and every dollar adds up.

all prayers are appreciated as well for we pray that he has a quick road to recovery and not continue to have worsening symptoms.

Your time is so much appreciated for reading our story and I pray you all have a blessed New Year ahead.
thanks so much everyone

I'll post an update as soon as we get the most recent cat scan and mri

there's been 3 catscans so far.....

Today makes one full month Ted has been in the hospital.
He is still tied down in 6 point restraints all day every day not allowed to get up out the bed.  With the help of a nurse and my mom, they stood on each side of him to see if he would walk and he lifted one foot and freaked out wanting back in the bed.  So as of now, he's pretty much forgotten how to walk and he still can not speak in full sentences.  In fact, his vocabulary is very small only being able to say about 10 words total.  The future is not looking very well as he's shown pretty much no improvement and we don't know if he will improve or if he will stay like this.  It's very hard on my mother working 12-15 hours a day and then sitting with him until 10pm every night all while trying to manage her own bills plus his bills as well to keep his vehicle etc INCASE he does show signs of a miracle.   I'm hoping and praying this finds someone who can help me get our story out and please keep us in your prayers

SoTed has officially been in the hospital for 1.5 weeks

His symptoms have gotten no better in fact he's still restrained  to the bed 24/7 arms and legs.
He has no short term memory and still can only say a few words.
As of today 1/10/22 he got moved to ICU and is quarantine due to testing positive with Covid and he can't have any visitors at all period.....

Instead of symptoms improving, they tend to be worsening.

support and love with prayers are much needed for this is one time ever in life that our family truly needs all the support we can get

We received the cat scan results today 1/1/2022 and it has been confirmed that he has gastritis, pancreatitis, and Infarct in left temporal lobe meaning he had a stroke on the left side of his brain.  That would be why he can barely speak besides a couple words and can't feed himself or walk as well as has a lot of confusion.
he's going to remain in the hospital for a little while but we don't know how long. He will have to have physical therapy as well as speech therapy IF he gets lucky to recover enough to that level.  We still don't know what end results are looking like.  Prayers please and support if you're able

thanks for your time
