I am writing on behalf of my family in desperate need of prayers and God's comfort. We have found ourselves in trying times. My maternal grandparents took a trip to Peru to visit with family along with my uncle, Joe Mogollon, over a month ago. Unbeknownst to us, my uncle had been suffering from a debilitating health condition that took a turn for the worse while there. His condition has put him in the hospital needing blood transfusions to combat the blood loss from perforations in his colon. It has been touch and go.

My family is desperately trying to get him back to the states for treatment. Unfortunately due to his health condition, he has not been stable enough to fly out. He had a chance last week, but due to the political unrest in Peru, his and my aunt's, Dalila Vargas, flights out of Peru were missed and canceled.

There has been numerous purchased flights that have been changed and/or canceled.

Waiting for news of my uncle's health deteriorating or improving has been emotionally draining for us all. Currently, we are praying the medication he is on is able to stabilize him enough to once again try to get a flight back home.

Friends and family, we absolutely are relying on faith to get us through. There are numerous expenses to get through including medications, sanitary and health supplies, flight tickets, food and living expenses, transportation. My uncle is currently staying with an aunt in Peru. My grandparents are also there, although they already have their pre-planned flight tickets back home for next month. My aunt flew to Peru from California to bring my uncle back. They need our help.

We have sent what we could..we are exhausting our available options. Please. If there is any way anyone can help, please reach out. Please pray for my family. We trust God will provide and will not leave us to fend for ourselves. We hold close to the promise that God will not throw a challenge our way that we cannot overcome.

Thank the Lord my uncle is receiving medical treatment and is looking so much better already! His health is priority right now and he is far from being in the clear, but praise the Lord he made it home where he has a chance to receive treatment. Thank you all!

I would like to share, my uncle and aunt have made it out of Peru early this morning. As of this update they are on a flight to California.

My uncle received another round of blood transfusions yesterday and received clearance to fly at which point we were able to get flights for them within 24 hours.

Thank the Lord for all your prayers! My uncle is going straight to the hospital as soon as they land. His condition is grave, but we are staying strong for him. We cannot thank you all enough.

Les quiero avisar que mis tios han salido de Peru y estan en camino hacia California en este momento. Por la gracia de Dios, ls transfusion de sangre que recibio mi tio logro que pueda viajar. En ese momento se compro voletos para mi tio y tia y salieron de Peru esta mañana.
