My vehicle was rear ended and the insurance company totaled it a few days ago. We were in the process of moving when this happened and I'm now short $300 of my security deposit for my new rental apartment. I've been given until June 12, 2026 to pay the rest of the deposit or I have to move again, which I cannot afford to do. I have injuries to my left shoulder, arm and wrist that will take time to heal and I need a safe place to do so. I'm in my 50s, disabled and on a fixed income that's paid monthly. I can get another car later, but I truly do not want to be homeless considering my situation physically.
I'm short $300. If anyone can find it in their heart to help me cover the deposit, so I can relax and heal, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not good at asking for help and most people I know cannot help me with this expense or have already helped.
