I recently rescued a 2-year-old Friesian cross colt from a kill pen, where he was destined for slaughter. When I saw him, I couldn’t look away — he was terrified, and fighting for his life. I knew he deserved a real chance, so I brought him home.

But his struggles are far from over. Neglect has left him severely malnourished with a body condition score of only 2–3. On top of starvation, he developed a serious respiratory infection that has turned into pneumonia. His fever has reached as high as 106°F, and now he’s battling strangles — a painful and highly contagious illness that requires strict quarantine, daily care, and constant monitoring.

He needs:
Emergency vet visits and ongoing treatments
Medications and lab work to fight infection and monitor his fragile liver and blood counts
Nutritional support to safely rebuild his strength without overwhelming his system
Around-the-clock care to give him the fighting chance he deserves

Despite everything he has endured, this baby still has the most soulful eyes and a will to live. With your help, I can give him the medical care, safe recovery space, and love he needs to heal.
✨ Every dollar makes a difference — whether it’s a bag of feed, a vet exam, or lifesaving medication. ✨
Please consider donating or sharing his story. Together, we can turn his suffering into hope and show him that people can be good and not just cruel.

From the bottom of my heart — and on behalf of this brave young colt — thank you. 💙
