Our beloved Nana, Darlene, was the heart of our family. She filled our lives with warmth, laughter, and love—whether she was baking something sweet in the kitchen or enjoying her favorite game shows, she had a way of making every moment feel special.
Recently, Darlene became very ill due to extremely high carbon dioxide levels in her body. She was hospitalized and placed on a ventilator, where she fought bravely for 20 days. During that time, our family held onto hope and stayed by her side, wishing for her recovery. Despite her strength, her condition did not improve, and we were faced with the incredibly difficult decision to transition her to comfort care, allowing her to pass peacefully and without pain.
This loss has been deeply heartbreaking for our family. Darlene meant everything to us, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
We are now asking for support to help ease the financial burden of funeral expenses for my mom and aunt during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward honoring Darlene’s life and giving her the memorial she deserves.
