I need your help. I’ve been taking care of my parents for 10 years without help from my siblings.
I sought help from my brother, who is a lawyer, to help create a trust so I can make health decisions for them. Dad had a stroke, Mom had dementia and has since passed away. The trust was created, but my parents couldn’t sign because they were already impaired.
Now my brother is demanding that due to a clause in the trust, which states that my dad wouldn’t want to live with cognitive decline, he is suddenly inserting himself to move my dad into hospice so they “technically” unalive him. My dad is stable at 86 years old, he’s not in pain, and deserves to live until he dies naturally. I am in shock that a son can be this cruel.
I found an attorney to help me but he wants a $15k retainer and I need your help to fight this. Thank you.
