Selina Marie Lyon Nail is taking care of business! She turned herself in and is the guest of county jail so she can work off her probation and be clear of the past and all fees. During this time, she is educating herself on-line. As soon as she gets a bed in a state-run facility, she is going to start a work-program. Y’all know what a good person she is, and how hard she works. Just like almost all of us, she has her personal growth work to do, and she’s doing it. Plus, she has a new career plan for her future, and she’s going to do as much as she can to prepare for it while she’s in jail.
Selina has helped and worked for so many of us. She’s been the shoulder to cry on, the ear to listen and the voice of reason. Like everyone else in her clan, she is a ray of sunshine and blast of love. She’s cut down our trees and limbs, cleaned houses, taken out our trash, helped us when sick, hauled away junk, burned brush, ran errands and assisted in any way she can. Last year during our big freeze, she went around the neighborhood on a Gator dropping off needful things to her neighbors. How many times has she dropped off her thoughtful and inspiriing hand-made cards and notes at your house? She has a heart as big as the sky, and a soul full of BIG FAITH. She’s not just sittin’ in there feeling sorry for herself. She’s taking responsibility for her actions, paying her debt to society and using this time to improve herself.
Due to COVID and technology, there are several ways to communicate with Selina via text, phone or video chat. But it costs money to communicate with her family and friends. It costs money to listen to a song on the radio. It costs money for books. She needs some assistance with commissary so she can buy hygiene products, paper, envelopes, stamps and the like. All the apps to put money on her boosk or text/video account can be complicated, and some people just don’t have the time to figure out three new apps to get her a few bucks. In addition, we can order care packages for her off a site called shop.icaregifts.com. She is so grateful to get a box of coffee and creamer.
