Hi, my name is Sydney and Sophia is my 5 year old niece. On July 18, 2025, my sister and her family received news that my 5 year old niece was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. Before this, Sophia was the most active, vibrant, sweetest, most outgoing, kind, loving little kid; who just couldn’t wait to start kindergarten this year. The diagnosis came as a complete shock to all of us. What initially seemed like a small hematoma on her hip, grew to a 2 cm tumor that was resected. Other than the tumor, Sophia didn’t display any symptoms. Fortunately the tumor has been removed, however part of her next steps in her treatment is 6 month of intense chemotherapy, with in patient hospital stays every other week. This battle has not only brought an unimaginable emotional toll on the family, but also a significant financial burden. The funds raised will go directly towards medical costs not covered by insurance, travel expenses, as well as any arising unforeseen expenses that arise while her parents focus on her care. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping ease this burden for Sophia and her family. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing her story with your network. Your prayers, positive thoughts, and support mean the world as the family rallies around their brave little girl. Thank you from the bottom of hearts for your kindness and generosity.
