On the last weekend of March, I shot a self-funded film under American Film Institute that I wrote and shot that encapsulates a heightened version of my own experience about what it’s like to be brought up in a religious environment in the Philippines. It was a production that meant quite a lot to me.
The evening of our last day, I believe I was followed from set. I was robbed with all the equipment in my car, including the cans of exposed film that we shot that day. I was left feeling really afraid, lost, and deeply guilty about all the hard work that was put into this film.
I never thought I would be asking for help, but it's time that I caved and did. I do. I honestly am already so greatful for all the emotional support I've had for the past few months and I would be incredibly touched if anybody would like to help out in any way.
I'm planning on reshooting what we lost and paying back for the equipment insurance couldn't cover. I currently owe the school more than tuition, which I absolutely cannot afford right now.
Any help is appreciated! Thank you! Love you!
