Hello friends, I am humbly asking for help paying for my cat Ziggy's urgent surgery. I recently learned that I had been misled by several vets in seeking treatment advice for two masses found on Ziggy's mammary chain, and now it is likely that—if they were not already before—they are now malignant, cancerous tumors (the larger of the two is nearly 4cm at this point).
Ziggy is quite literally my lifeline; I adopted her over 6 years ago because I needed a good reason not to kill myself, and she has been the best reason. She has been my companion through both of my degrees, numerous relationships, at least 7 different apartments, a major surgery, and traveling hundreds upon hundreds of miles across state lines. She is 13yo and—aside from her unfortunate lumps and a longstanding heart murmur—in stellar health and otherwise full of life. She is scheduled for a mastectomy in the next two weeks, but frankly I am self-employed and this vet bill is far beyond what I am capable of paying myself. I don't take putting my senior kitty through aggressive surgery lightly, but it is my understanding that this is our best chance at having the most possible time together.
My goal of $3,187.00 represents the high end of the cost estimate I was provided. I don't have any expendable cash funds, so whatever I am unable to fundraise is going to be dumped onto an emergency credit card for my baby. That being said, if there is anything you are able to give to offset these expenses, I would be ever so grateful.
