I'm reaching out from Columbia, South Carolina, where I've lived most of my life, surrounded by familiar faces and places that feel like home. Right now, though, I'm in a situation I never imagined, waiting for my disability claim to process while my world feels like it's unraveling.
My car is an essential part of my life, my connection to the grocery store, to medical appointments, and to the small moments that keep me going. Unfortunately, it's in need of serious repairs—brake pads, rotors, calipers, a radiator fan, and tires. Handling all this on my own has been overwhelming, especially with the constant worry of staying insured.
The thought of losing my home and my car is more than I can handle. It's like seeing the threads of my independence slowly slip away. Aiming to raise $500, I hope to address these urgent needs and hold on to the life I've built. Every bit of help will keep me anchored in this community I love so much.
