Hello, I’m Kristin Farris. I’m making this fundraiser for my mother in law and step father in law Clemente. In fall of 2019 Clemente and his youngest son went hunting. There was an accident and the tree stand collapsed resulting in a traumatic brain injury. It left him being a quadriplegic who is unable to speak or express in anyway what is wrong with him or how he’s feeling. He has since been in a nursing home in Durham, North Carolina. Something happened at the first nursing home (I can’t say what due to legal reasons) but his family had him moved to another nursing home. Since moving to the new facility his health has declined. Two weeks ago he was transported to the emergency room due to him throwing up. He has a G-Tube so that was uncommon and set off red flags. They did what they could and sent him back to the nursing home. Three days ago he was sent back to the emergency room with a fever and a high heart rate. They did further testing and found out he’s septic. His gallbladder is gangrenous. He is too weak therefore he’s not a candidate for surgery any longer. The doctors said he has days to live not weeks. With that being said he did NOT have life insurance. His wife has been the sole provider for their three kids, the youngest just turning 16 last month, and their home and now her mother whom has stage 4 stomach cancer. We aren’t asking for much just enough to give him to proper funeral that he deserves. If you can find it in your heart to donate we will be forever grateful. If you can’t please just share this how ever you can. Thank you and have a blessed day!
